Description

This article describes the alert, the traditional cause leading to the generation of the alert and the most common resolution.

The following is an example of the alert in question:

system_name (0111-1234-666): LOG-WF-0029 Source VM not found, cannot add clones 'tintri-vm-10-1' to hypervisor manager                       inventory because the host is unknown. Please add them through the datastore browser.

Details

A clone was created from a snapshot whose VM is no longer in inventory (or which is not visible to the Tintri VMstore via the vSphere API.)

The clone has been created on disk but it was not added to inventory.  Any later steps such as reverting to the VMware snapshot or resetting the UUID have not been performed.

Use the datastore browser to manually add the clone(s) to inventory. Manually revert to and delete any Tintri-created VMware snapshots.

Aligned the margins with some effort as it does not seem to hold the spacing set for some paragraphs
