Recreating a Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin Uninstall File on Linux

Applies To

Product(s): Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin (VCP)

Product Version(s): Not Applicable

Bug(s): N/A

Introduction

The uninstall file cannot be located or was deleted.

How-To

Recreate the uninstall file:

  1. Delete the Tintri vSphere Web Client Plugin (VCP) directory (default is /opt/Tintri/VCP) or the directory in which the plugin is installed.
    Important:
Do not delete the directory until you confirm that only Tintri VCP related files are saved in the directory.
  2. Reinstall the same plugin.  The reinstall is the same as performing an initial deployment of the plugin.
  3. Go to the directory chosen for the installation (default is /opt/Tintri/VCP).
  4. Run the uninstall file to uninstall the VCP.

A confirmation message displays when the uninstall completes successfully.
